Chronic Ear Discharge
Dear Doctors,My right ear is discharging from last 18 years,and it was once operated also,foul smelly discharge which increases when caught cold.But the discharge had not yet stopped.Severe Conductive Hearing loss.I dont know whether i will be ever be able to get rid of this or not...when visited ent specialists in Delhi they advised another surgery... My profession demands sound hearing,Will I be ever able to regain my hearing loss ? I heard somewhere that hearing can also be regained by surgery...plz suggest I am waiting for your replies...

Your hearing recovery depends on the number of hearing bones remaining.The scan would give a clear picture of it. Consult a ENT surgeon who does more of ear work and he should be able to help you.
