Let me assure u... no one of the docs would want to give something to harm ur child. Please have faith in ur doc. And coming to ur current issue... yes there are chances that the child might have seizures immediately post fever. So it is very important that u have a thermometer in handy. Whenever the child develops fever, immediately clean the child with a clean wet cloth. That will bring down the fever. Give him fresium and calpol syrup(15mg/kg) according to the weight at that time. And consult a nearby doc asap.
Next Steps
Having seizures in the baby is very upsetting for the parents . That I understand very well. U r worried if it will affect the child in the long run. But let me assure u... the febrile conclusion that ur child had is one of the least problematic seizures and will not have any effect on the brain function.
Health Tips
If the child has more than one seizure within 6 months of previous seizure then immediately consult somebody as it is not a good sign. All the best. Please consult if u need any more help from my side. Take care .
