Hi, My son is 1 yr 8 months old and weighs 9.5 kg. His birth weight was 1.9 kg, he was born 1 month prior to the expected delivery date. Pls suggest a healthy diet for weight gain. I give him the following diet, pls suggest any addition if required. Morning 9 a.m- nan pro 3 with cornflakes/ chana sattu with warm water/ suji Morning 11 a.m- banana/ mosambi/apple Noon 12.30- rice, dal, fish/egg, potato fry. I boil sweet potato with rice and mix fish/egg and dal together with butter. Afternoon 5 p.m- same as morning 9 a.m Night 9 p.m- rice, dal, butter. Pls suggest whether i need any change. Also as he always refuses to drink water, i mix a pinch of glucon d in it to add flavour. Is it safe???

No,don't add glucose. Otherwise, you're doing fine. Very good weight gain. Just ensure fixed feed timings, including 2 top milk feeds using a glass and 4 solid meals a day including curds and bananas in the diet in addition to whatever you prepare at home. Maintain strict hygiene.
