Chickenpox
My child is having fever now who is having spina bifida mylomeingocele. Our family had chickenpox last few weeks... we were isolated in room. Now he is having fever we are afraid he had chickenpox. I am writing this yo now that is there any antibiotics we can give if he had chickenpox. He is not vaccinated for chickenpox.And taking frissium 5 mg as medicine for seizure which he had in voice shunt surgery. Is there any complication he will face. Is it needed to admit him to hospital plz give reply as soon as possible

Chicken pox/varicella vaccine is given at 15 months of age. Check in the baby's vaccination chart if it was given or not (and if not given, then give it at the earliest). It is highly likely that your baby might be infected. Baby having Spina bifida doesn't put baby at any additional risk from chicken pox. See your pediatrician, he might prescribe antivirals depending upon baby's symptoms.
