Chest pain

I have been having mild chest pain just below the heart since last 4 days. Now i m having severe pain i cough, it pains, i laugh it pains etc. I smoke 8 to 9 cigarettes a day. But now i have quit. I am a seasonal smoker

It is suggestive of a pleuritic type of chest pain involving your lungs. Consult a pulmonologist and get a chest xray and ecg done.

I would suggest you to quit smoking...try eating several small meals instead of three large ones whenever you can...Avoid foods that irritate your stomach, especially those that are spicy, acidic, fried or fatty... avoid coffee,tea etc... Avoid stress,consider calming activities, such as meditation, yoga etc...sleep with head raised position and have dinner at least 2 hours before sleep..do regular exercises...take pantaprazole 40 mg twice daily before food with above....consult physician if symptoms persists.
