If the decay is reaching the pulp then you have to get the RCT done and the cost is generally high for this if you are getting it done from a specialist. followed by capping. But if the decay is not deep then the tooth can be saved by doing filling only and it can cost you 1000 - 2000. You can also take a second opinion .
hello,
if there is a cavity you need to get it filled. if there is an infection to the root of the tooth, you need to get it treated. then get a cap placed over it.
as per your symptoms its carious but not involving pulp. kindly do IO-PAR for better assessment for pulp involvement. in case of pulp involvement rct needed other wise simple filling is the treatment option for you.
Only through x ray we can evaluate whether you require rct or not without x ray we can't evaluate and if it is not deep we can do only filling depending on what cap you select the cost varies
