This is not a question which can be answered just like this.
The decision is made depending on
Patient suitability for the lens
Patients requirements
Eye condition
Costs involved etc.
U need to undergo counselling for that .
Basically - monofocal lens - u will require reading glasses
Multifocal - mostly you will not require glasses except for fine tuning in some cases
Toric - only if eye check shows cylindrical number
