Can thalassemia major show up at the age of 6?
My daughter is 6.5 year old. Weight is 19.5. height is 3 feet 7 inches. Had chronic constipation and pain while passing urine. In USG scan today she was diagnosed with a 5 mm gallstone.
I'm worried that gallstones at the age of 6 may indicate some underlying problem like a blood disorder.
Her mother(my wife) is a thalassemia minor. I don't have any thalassemia traits. Can my daughter be thalassemia major?
