Can person on blood thinner take IM inj
Hello Doctors,
My brother 50 years of age is taking Ecosporin AV 150/10 mg daily as prescribed to him. He was bit by monkey. Can he take anti rabies vaccine by IM route safely when on blood thinner or it can cause bleeding or problem? His heart function is fine, he had one episode of AFib in September so, blood thinner prescribed to him.

Bleeding from the injection site can be controlled but it may be difficult to salvage a person who is affected by Rabies infection.
