Hi doctors, I've been struggling with weight. Im 167cm and 69.2kgs, 20 year old. I dont really like how my body looks and I really want to lose weight and get a flat tummy. Looking at others with it makes me so jealous 😭😭 But I was wondering if I can take Ozempic? It's pretty popular and since I cant lose weight really easily, I thought I'd try it. I have some health issues, but Im desperate at this point. I have PCOD, Migraines, dust allergy and elevated heart rate. Please let me know.

Thank you for sharing your details.
Your BMI is around 24.8, which is at the upper end of the healthy range, so weight loss is possible through structured nutrition and lifestyle changes without necessarily starting medication like Ozempic—especially at your age.
Since you have PCOD, migraines, allergies, and an elevated heart rate, any medication, including Ozempic, must only be prescribed by an endocrinologist after thorough evaluation, as it can have side effects and interactions.
My recommendations:
Begin with a personalized PCOD-friendly diet focusing on low-GI foods, balanced macros, and anti-inflammatory choices.
Incorporate regular physical activity—strength training and moderate cardio suited to your heart rate limits.
Address triggers for migraines and allergies through dietary adjustments.
Hydration, adequate sleep, and stress management are key for hormonal balance.
With the right plan, you can achieve fat loss and a flatter tummy in a healthy, sustainable way without rushing into medications.

Hi there,
At 167 cm and 69.2 kg, your BMI is in the normal range. I understand your frustration, but as a clinical dietitian, I don't recommend Ozempic for someone your age and weightâespecially with PCOD, migraines, and an elevated heart rate. Ozempic is meant for people with type 2 diabetes or obesity and can have side effects like nausea, gallbladder issues, and more.
For PCOD and overall health, a tailored nutrition plan focusing on blood sugar control, strength training, sleep, and anti-inflammatory foods works far betterâand without risks. You're just 20, and your body deserves long-term care, not shortcuts.
Happy to help if you want a personalized, science-backed plan.
Next Steps
Your journey is yoursânot someone else's Instagram photo. A flat tummy doesn't equal health. If you want to feel confident in your body, let's build a path that's safe, personal, and backed by science.
Health Tips
Instead of Ozempic, here's what I strongly recommend: Focus on blood sugar balance: Opt for high-fiber carbs (like oats, millets, and whole fruits), healthy fats (nuts, seeds, avocado), and adequate protein (lentils, eggs, curd). Strength training 2â3x/week: This is proven to reduce insulin resistance in PCOD and support a leaner body. Reduce screen time and improve sleep: Poor sleep worsens cravings and insulin resistance. Address inflammation: With migraines and allergies, your body is already inflamed. An anti-inflammatory diet (rich in omega-3s, turmeric, ginger, and vegetables) can help. Mental health check-in: The feeling of jealousy and desperation is a sign that you may need supportânot just physically, but emotionally too. You're not alone.

Hi
I understand what you are saying. While taking ozempic may look like a way to lose weight, it has serious side effects too.
Even if you took it and lost weight, what happens when you stop taking if? It also causes muscle loss, which further reduces your BMR and makes weight loss even harder.
