Burnt/cigarette smell

Asked for Female, 30 Years

My wife has on and off burnt/cigarette smell out of nowhere since last 10 days, she can smell and taste other things normally, no cold cough fever or other symptoms. She is been taking steam twice daily. As per the Ayurvedic Dr this might be due to Sinus issue. Should we go for COVID or any other tests.

Please do a COVID test first. If negative, she has to be examined throughly by an ENT specialist. She may need a nasal endoscopy and/or a scan of her sinuses.
