Breast milk alternative
I had a c-sec delivery. My baby is 4 weeks old and I am not producing enough milk to feed her well. I am only able to express 30-45 ml in one session and have no idea how much my baby sucks during breastfeed but I have to give her formula milk after 1 hour of breastfeeding as she demands milk. For first 2 weeks we only gave her formula milk as she was not able latch on anyhow. Then my MIL started giving her diluted cow's milk from 3rd week onward. Till now she is getting 3 different milks - formula, mine(very less) and cow's milk. Please suggest should I give her cow's milk or not and how do i increase my milk production. I badly need advise on it.

Try to get breast milk from milk bank if available in your city.Cow's milk is certainly not recommended for such small babies.Consult your Gynaecologist to increase your breast milk. Take Shatavari PWD in milk 5 gms twice daily to increase your flow of milk.Take plenty of fluids in your daily diet.
