Bp was 220 and too much nosebleed
Hi ,
I experienced too much nosebleed and when I came to hospital my Bp was 220 . The reasons are not sure yet but there is a report of Mildly enlarged, hydronephrotic, obstructed Left Kidney with good cortical function in my dtpa scan reports. Other reports so far have been normal .
Could this be the reason for high bp . My BP is always fluctuating between 140-160 still. What would be the best diagnosis for this
The hospital doctors are suggesting to remove the kidney .
I am not sure what is correct. Please help

I have gone through the query in detail. Mildly enlarged kidney is not the likely cause for sudden rise in BP to 220 mm Hg. It needs detailed evaluation as a case of young onset hypertension.
Next Steps
Would like to have a detailed eye checkup of Retina, Echocardiogram, Urine Routine, Urine Spot Protein Creatinine Ratio as further evaluation

Hello, as per my understanding based on the history you have provided , you have and obstructive nephropathy... the cause of obstruction needs to be evaluated . May be there is a chance that the obstruction can be relieved and your kidney can be preserved. If the obstruction is not treated in the long run you can loose you kidney function , land in a serious infection or other complication. Best will be if u can get a CT KUB and get a detailed evaluation.
Yea the Blood pressure can be raised in this case , or this could be underlying hypertension which has been aggravated due to your current condition.
