BP measuring phobia
I m a male 46 yes and on BP medication for last 5 yes I prescribed with Metoprolol 50 mg BD , tab amlodipine 10 mg OD and indapamide 1.5 mg OD. My problem is that when I measure my BP it comes normal around 125/74 etc but when it is taken by doctor or medical staff during medical check it goes upto 170/86 or 90. I use to get severly nervous. The anxiety of seeing a doctor is probably causing the hike in your body. Speak to a counsellor who can help you deal with your anxiety.
