Bone loss around implant
It's been 10 years since I got an implant. I've lost around 1-2 mm of bone around the implant according to my dentist. Is it worrisome? Is there anything I could do to regrow that bone?

Yes you can meet Implantologist or periodontist to regrow the bone on the implant threads. It depends how much bone height is reduced and how much out come we can get from procedure

Consult with a dentist

Has your dentist stated steps to do next? It could just be an observation he made. Every implant will lose some bone around it over time. Of course an X-ray would’ve been best to diagnose what’s happening with your implant. The point to note is -are you having pain, redness in that area, irritation in the gums, or your crown has come loose or is trapping food. If yes, please visit your dentist to explain to you the next step. If no, you have nothing to worry about.
Next Steps
If possible to share, an X-ray would be great.

Implants failure shows bone loss . improper oral hygiene might also be the reason... Bone grafting helps to recover this.u need to consult dentist for further treatment.

A dental implant is considered to be a failure if it is lost, mobile, or shows peri-implant bone loss of greater than 1.0 mm in the first year and greater than 0.2 mm a year after. Bone grafting around the dental implant by the dentist can help regrow bone.
