Blood pressure
I have been taking blood pressure medicine from last 19 months, when I checked first my heart rate was 112, then the same day Doctor prescribed metoporol xr 50mg and after a week I got a bp 150/90 then I met the Doctor he prescribed starcad t 50mg, but from the medical store i only got starcad t25, first 2_3days i didn't realize that i am taking a small amount of medicine, but I took it for around 9 months, When i started to take the medicine my weight was 136kg , taking the time of starcad t 25 my bp gone to 110/70, and once it came down to 100/60 i again visited Doctor and he reduced the medicine to metoporol xr 25 and Telmisartan 20 since March Doctor changed the medicine metoporol to betacap tr 20mg and Telmisartan 10mg because of i got anxiety disorder, now my bp is some time 100/70 and 90/60,now my weight is 114kg and my anxiety reduced before taking medicine my bp is 110/70,or 110/80, My question is am I able to stop medicines once my bp gone normal Or my weight reduced ?

Hello Sir, Yes definitely. Your Blood Pressure, it seems, is because of obvious obesity. As is evident, you have started weight loss along with normalisation of your blood pressure automatically. The mechanism through which weight loss causes decrease in blood pressure is Normalisation of Endothelial Function which relaxes blood vessel wall increasing its elasticity thus prohibiting rise in blood pressure.
Next Steps
Regular Blood Pressure Check at least once a month
Health Tips
With given level of blood pressure at such minimal doses, you can consider stopping these BP drugs under doctor’s close supervision.
