Blood clot in finger
My mother is above 50 years old 5.6height nearly 80kgs She had pain in her right hands middle finger from last few days all of sudden there is a blood clot below the nail area near the joint... Kindly let me know what can be the reason is it anything to be taken seriously

It might be injury. Consult orthopaedic doctor. If she is on any blood thinners- spontaneous bleeding is possible.

Get her evaluated for carpal tunnel syndrome and glomus tumour if there is no history of trauma. If there is trauma, get x-rays to rule out fracture etc.
Next Steps
Try cold water bath . medications like Enzomac and Ultracet will be helpful.
