My sister in law was bitten by the Rat. Does she need to inject anti tetanus vaccine? what bacteria/viruses can get from the bitten Rat?

Hello there.
I can understand your concern.
Yes she need tetanus toxoid vaccination.
She needs to apply some antibacterial cream over the lesion and additionally I would suggest you ask her to take a course of rabies vaccination also.
Always better to be on a safer side.
Consult a general physician in person for further evaluation and management.
