Loss of interest, decreased concentration and attention, feeling low and disturbed sleep or appetite are some of the signs of depression. Consult a psychiatrist who will assess you in detail. If you are feeling suicidal or hopeless, seek professional help immediately. Try some relaxation techniques like yoga, meditation and deep breathing. Indulge in hobbies. Spend time with people close to you.

Depression is a normal reaction to unfavorable circumstances in life, but if it persists beyond two weeks it becomes illness. There are neurotransmitters changes in the brain which leads to worsening of symptoms. A person believes that I will overcome it but wastes time in doing so. It needs proper medicinal treatment along with counseling. So kindly consult psychiatrist and psychologist to come out of it.
