I wd recommend you that instead of going just a banana diet u shd rather go for fruit based diet plan which shd include all complex carbs like apples, oranges,papaya, pears and of course bananas. Such a diet is alkaline in nature , wd balance ur gut PH, wd provide u essential vitamins n minerals n most importantly detoxify ur digestive system.
Of course you can follow it 4-5 times in a month .

I wd advice u not to follow such a diet for five days at a stretch in one single week as our body needs different types of nutrients which can be only obtained from a combination of foods from various food grps. Monotony will set in and following such a restrictive diet will become difficult.

Hello .. Certainly I will not recommend you any fad diet .Even though you want to reduce weight your diet plan should be properly balance including all food groups. Individualised diet and exercise schedule help u a lot.
