Ball to face and subsequent ear pain

Asked for Male, 32 Years

Hi, I was hit in the face by a soccer ball and my left ear hurts (the ball hit me in the chin, and the only lasting pain is pain/sense of swelling in my left ear why I try to chew). I've tried to carefully observe myself for any concussion symptoms, but I don't detect anything unusual except for my left ear soreness.

You seem to be have suffered blunt injury to the ear and jaw. It's normal to have pain for few days after blunt injury. If your hearing is normal then you may just need to take over the counter analgesics for symptomatic pain relief
