The cause of dryness in the mouth could be due to alot of factors, it could be due to stress, electrolytic imbalance and medications. The use of tobacco and consumption of alcohol could be ruled out as causes too to name a few. In your case I see that you take Thyronorm 25 which battles hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism in itself can cause dryness in the mouth.
Dryness in the mouth, improper brushing technique, inadequate brushing, use of excessive spices such as garlic and condements, excessive intake of carbonated drinks, tea & coffee, presence of cavities could be few reasons for halitosis (bad odour from the mouth). A malpositioned wisdom tooth can also lead to alot of issues including infection, cheekbite, affected adjacent teeth etc... which inturn can add to the existing halitosis.
Next Steps
With the required checkup and treatment for Root canal, cavity fillings, wisdom tooth removal (all of these if required) and monitoring salivary levels. Adding electrolytes, use of diluted chlorhexidine mouthwash (1:10) ratio after each meal can help significantly.
Health Tips
Stay away from alcohol, tobacco consumption (if any), reduce the intake of caffeine & spices in food, add electrolytes, a bottle of chlorhexidine mouthwash would do (donot go beyond) after, regular warm salt water gargles can help. Get the required treatment for root canals, wisdom teeth removal if required (as early as possible)
Hope this helps.
Hi,
Visit the dentist and get a check up done. Get a full mouth cleaning done. You can meet a Gastroenterologist and check for any gastric related issues.
