Bad breath can be because of many reasons like food, tobacco products, poor dental hygiene, health problems, dry mouth, mouth infections, dental problems, or medications. Symptoms of bad breath include unpleasant odor or taste in the mouth, dry mouth, or white coating on the tongue. Some time scaling alone is not helpful. Please rule out the reasons listed above and see a physician also if problem persist. Regards, Dr Vishal Jain

There are various reason for bad breath(halitosis). It can be because of systemic reason like chest infection. Dryness of mouth, tooth cavity, tartar and improper cleaning of tongue can also cause halitosis.

If we go by the description that you have mentioned that you have been given a clean chit about oral health from the dentist, then the most likely causes probably are lack of proper hydration or systemic causes like GIT upset..... the solutions for these will be to increase your fluid intake, using medicated mouthwashes like the ones containing chlorhexidine gluconate 0.2%....... also get a clinical examination done by a physician about the health of your gastrointestinal system...... Regards.....

Well if you're Oral hygiene is well enough I believe it could be stomach problem, check if if burp a lot? Cause that could be due to gastritis or reflux of stomach fluids. Best case it should resolve by some dietary adjustment, but it's best you visit a physician too.
