Dear Madam You need to consult a Neurosurgeon to check whether there is any instability or Compression which is causing the back pain If there are no instability or compression, we can continue with postural modifications and physiotherapy

Hi, this is Dr Hitin Mathur orhopaedic surgeon at Fortis C Doc Hospital, New Delhi. An examination of your spine by an orthopaedic surgeon will be required. An x ray of dorsal spine AP and lateral views will help. Also get your vitamin D, Hb, TLC, DLC, ESR and uric acid levels checked. Some spinal extension exercises will also help.

Atleast 5 out of ten will have calcium & vitamin D deficiency . Do they all have back pains? Our pains come mostly because of weakness, not following our age old tradition & being under stress. Most of the pains occur due to weakness of "Low Threshold Muscles" . What is this low threshold muscles? To tell you in simple terms, we have "High threshold & Low Threshold Muscles " muscles. High threshold muscles go into fatigue quickly & come into action mostly when something physically demanding occurs. ( Carrying weights ) Low threshold are mostly that do not fatigue easily & are our postural muscles. In painful conditions these low threshold muscles go into weakness & act like high threshold. If you do some back extension exercises it won't help as you are again training the high threshold muscles. "Train the core by meeting. Good Physio. Good luck!
