Hello! It’s absolutely alright if the weight increment is not up to the standard of increment of thrice by 1year. Please make sure that your feeding is appropriate to the standard guidelines for feeding a baby of 13 months.
Next Steps
For better understanding of the situation, consult a paediatrician to make necessary changes in your diet as per the need to increase the calories in your food

It seems that her weight gain was excellent till 6 months of age and then the graph started falling off. She is on the higher side of the graph as far her height is concerned. Milestones achievement is great. A dietary evaluation should be done to see how much calories she is consuming I will advise that she should have some basic investigations done to evaluate for any underlying malabsorption/ malnutrition/ food allergies and take it forward from there. Once the lab work up is clear a calorie dense diet/ appropriate diet will take care of the issue
Next Steps
Lab work up
Health Tips
Seems the weight for age graph started falling at the time of introduction of solid foods. Look for food allergies

Thank you for sharing such detailed information. You’re absolutely right to care deeply about your baby girl’s growth—but based on everything you’ve shared, here’s a reassuring breakdown: 1. Birth weight and growth trend - Current Weight at 13 Months: 7.7 kg This is below the expected average, but it doesn’t necessarily indicate a health issue, especially given the other signs of healthy development. 2. Height - Current Height: 82 cm This is excellent and above average for her age. Typically, 13-month-old girls are around 74–78 cm. 3. Motor and Cognitive Development: • Crawled at 6 months, stood with support at 6.5 months, walking independently now — well ahead of average milestones. • Talking two-letter words — developmentally appropriate. Active babies often burn more calories, especially after they start crawling and walking early. This can slow down weight gain compared to less mobile babies.
Next Steps
What You Can Do • Monitor, but don’t panic. Regularly check weight every month, but don’t obsess unless there’s a downward trend or other signs like lethargy, poor appetite, or developmental delays. • Nutrition : Ensure she’s getting calorie-dense, iron-rich foods, especially if she’s picky or nursing less now. Consider foods like: • Adding Ghee to her food after cooking . • Mashed banana, sweet potatoes, paneer, curd • Dals, khichdi with vegetables Supplementation: You can once consult . Vitamin D, iron, or other micronutrient supplements if needed will be prescribed
Health Tips
When to Worry? • If weight drops instead of maintaining or rising slowly • If appetite is consistently poor • If developmental milestones start regressing • If she frequently falls sick or looks pale/fatigued
