Baby skin peeling off from hands and toe
Hi Doctor, My is 11.5 months old. Her birth weight was 3.48kg and current weight is 9.2 kg. From last 15 days skin is feeling off from hand and toes. She is active and playing well. Due to teething she is not at all eating food only one spoon or two she is eating. Please suggest what I can do for the skin feeling and why it is happening. And also can you please suggest can I include daliya and oats on daily basis for her. Can I start giving cow milk to her? Please advise me.

Thank you for your query Skin peeling in children can be due to various causes but usually due to dryness of skin or skin allergy Her weight is okay but considering her birth weight it’s less than expected My suggestions 1. Avoid strong soaps and detergents 2. Use moisturiser for skin care 3. Balanced diet with protein rich foods like paneer and eggs 4. Cereals — rice, ragi, wheat and oats Pulses — dhal Nuts — Badam and walnuts If the skin peeling persists please consult dermatologist
