My female baby was born at 31 week and low birthweight due to complications like PPROM and spent close to a month in NICU..now im taking care at home and this is 4th month after birth..we didnt allow any visitors to come home for 4 months.now friends and relatives are planning to come and visit. As this is large family many people will drop in.. Also now winter season will start..i have few concerns. 1.kindly advice what are precautions to follow so that baby can be protected against infection from guests who come to visit...we have purchased handwash and sanitizers. 2. What precaution to take while taking baby outside .. 3.if someone wants to come close to baby and handle her what is best way to tell them not to do so?

Congrats for the newborn.. Basically you should see to it that the people who handle the baby should be you and the one who takes care of you. Don't allow others to handle the baby. And don't allow people who are not keeping well to come close to your baby. Tell your relatives that the immunity power of the baby will be too less to handle the day today germs. Strict no fire others kissing and hugging the baby.
