My baby girl (5 months old) is not speaking or making sounds as earlier. She was laughing more making sounds more before a week. But, nowadays she is playing more, playing with fingers more (like counting). But not smiling or making sounds (like singing ) earlier. Is this normal in baby's growth or should we go to hospital

It is quite normal with the development. Show bright coloured toys and play with the kid. You don’t have to worry about what the kid’s behaviour.

Hi, More detailed history required
Next Steps
Since she is spending more time with toys or more engaged, she is speaking less. Wait for few more months. If this continues, Child needs to be examined thoroughly.
