Ayurveda cause gas?
Hi doctors, I'm mother of 20 days old boy and both of us are having gas issues. I started taking ayurveda post partum treatment about 2 weeks ago and have observed that it causes digestion issues in me. My son is struggling a lot at nights with gas and motion. He is always applying pressure and farting. It's hard to watch him struggle like that. I've temporarily stopped ayurveda. Can someone please confirm whether these medicines are the reason for me and my son being so gassy? The medicines i take: Dashamularishtam Jirakarishtam Dhanwantharam kashayam Vilwadi lehyam Dhanwantharam capsules

Actually these medicines are for your above said symptoms only.... Post partum treatment is for gas mainly, so generally they help in removing trapped gas and toxins from your body... There is one possibility that arishtas and asavas are not suiting you somehow.... So if u r facing issues with these medicines, it's best you consult that doctor again because he's having your complete case....or consult any ayurvedic pediatrician

U can use  dasamoolarishta and jeerakarishta for now. After the gas issue subsides and once good appetite comes can use the others. Kashaya is suitable in post delivery period only when you have good appetite. Vilwady lehya is not required for now. Dhanwantharam tablet can be taken, but oil soft gel capsules after u finish arishta and appetite is good
