Anxiety, mood swings
Hi. Been experiencing anxiety and mood swings and often feel depressed. I have a good job and a great family (husband and in-laws too). Not sure why I feel excessively depressed and experience horrible mood swings and loneliness No known ailments. Often feel the need to talk to someone w/o being judged.

Hi Depression is an illness - you do not need a reason to feel depressed.  The fact that everything in your life is ok does not mean that you cannot suffer from depression.  The best anology is of an asthmatic who struggles to breathe.  No one ever tells the asthmatic that there is so much air around you, so why are you struggling to breathe?  Similarly, in depression, people have low mood and negtive thoughts despite happiness being prevalent all around them. Please see a psychiatrist for a full evaluation and treatment/ management.
