it is because of the ligamentous injury and creates pain and swelling . ain and swelling subsides with time leaves the muscle weakness which takes time and recovers only by the exercises done by the physiotherapist.
Next Steps
go to a physiotherapist and take the treatment. Ultrasonic therapy helps in healing of ligament and muscle stretched or inflamed, heat(wax) therapy increases blood circulation and TENS helps in relieving pain,Exercises will increase the muscle strength.Do it for at least 2-3 weeks. You will get the relief for sure... take care.

Healing of any injury will not be completed unless u take few sessions of physiotherapy. As every healing tissue has a pattern of healing that only therapy can speed up. Visit www.physiotherapistdelhi.in to know more.

Hi Ankle Spain can be divided into three grades - Grades 1, 2 and 3 in increasing order of severity. The the grades behave differently in relation to one another. In general minor sprains can heal in 2 weeks, but more severe ones can take 6 weeks to 3 months to completely heal. Apply ice packs generously, avoid jerky movements/ kicking, use a crepe bandage. These can help allow your ligaments to heal. Hope that helps, Regards
Next Steps
Crepe bandage, ice
Health Tips
Avoid kicking/ pivoting
