I had a piles laser surgery a year ago. After six months or so, I felt like there was some lump of skin prolapsing while bowel movement. I got it checked from the surgeon who performed the piles op. He said it's just the skin of the rectum and nothing harmful. He did a proctoscopy and there was no pile.what can this be?

As your surgeon has suggested it could be a skin tag. If there is no pain or irritation you need not worry about that
