Xray and cancer

Hey i wanted to know that most of the people had xray in their childhood or teenage so are there any risk of having cancer as i had pa chest view xray and i am afraid that later i will have cancer

To give you some statistics, If no exposure is given to an individual, his chances of getting Cancer are 1 in 4 lacs. If a single exposure of X ray is given to an individual, his chances of getting Cancer 1 in 3 lacs. It is only CT Scan where a person may get exposure equal to hundreds of X S that the Cancer risk is significant. One or two X ray make no difference.

X ray is a single shot... compare to ct it is nothing...so no worries

Cancer happens when there is frequent exposure to radiation. Single xray doesn't put you in danger of cancer
