Hi there...I can understand your concern. It would have been better if you had posted a photo of the wound. So that we could have known, if you are talking about a crust or a scab. If it's a scabies, then don't try to remove it. If it's indeed crust, then it will need to be removed to help the wound to heal. So take sterile guaze (available available medical stores, but expensive) or a clean plain cloth, dip it in normal saline(again available in medical stores) or warm water with little salt in it. Keep this dipped cloth over the wound for 15 mins. Keep wetting the cloth every 2 to 3 days. In the end try to remove the crust gently. Don't forcefully remove it. Clean the wound in this way, morning and evening and then apply your antibiotic cream. If there's any pus discharge from the wound, consult a dermatologist or general surgeon for further evaluation.
