2023-02-27 05:17:32
Hi, My kid is 18 months old, my niece and nephew who are of 6yrs & 4yrs old has recently suffered from chicken pox. Many of my friends suggested to go for chicken pox vaccine for my kid. We also had a word with one of the doctor who we consulted in Vijaywada, he also has recommended it. Can someone provide more details for the same.

One dose can be given now, booster dose around 5 to 6 yr.. If child is exposed recently, u can postpone it by few weeks. U can consult with ur local pediatrician...

If your child has been exposed to the other children with chickenpox then you shouldn’t give the vaccine immediately
