TSH high during Pregnancy

My wife is 7 month pregnant women & in Thyroid test the result oh TSH value is 8.3 She wants to try some diet change & do exercise & then go to doctor after chechking if the value comes to normal. Is it advisable to try this delay of 1 week or else is it advisable to consult doctor immediately.
