Tennis elbow

Hii I got X-ray done and having tennis elbow..my hand injured on 5 December it's more than 1.5 month but pain is same ..doctor suggested me for physiotherapy ultrasound for a week and told to do heat pad on affected area ..I am taking physiotherapy from last few days but no relief and my physiotherapist told me to do ice pack now I m confuse what should I do ice pack or heat pad I am not taking any painkillers but taking complete rest but still it's not improving please suggest when it will heal or how ?
