I've had swelling in the area adjoining my fingernail for the past couple of days. It hurts when I touch it. What is this? How can this be treated? Please help me.

Dip finger in warm salt water for 5 minutes thrice a day.should be ok in a few days.can take paracetamol fir pain if needed
