My son is in 5th standered, but he can't read or write without making spelling mistakes (easiest spelling also). I make him read his books( hindi or English) everyday, but still, he reads like a 2nd class student. He can't keep spelling learnt. If he learns smthing, he forgets that very soon. He is a slow writer. He don't even worry about his marks, he gets around 45% marks. But yes-he is very talkative, imaginative, full od confidence. He even can speak anything infront of anyone(in public also). I tried to teach him with the help of phonics and syllables... Still he breaks the words according to him and then pronounce it. What should i do to make his reading good. He is very well aware of English language. Plz guide me.
