Hello I've small systs in brain and iam getting fits this problem since 5 yrs iam having still the treatment going with Tablets Consultation at Kims Hyderabad Q1 Lifelong i have to use tablets i have a doubt about this and any permanent solution for fits in systs in brain Kindly advice me

Hi.. Thanks for contacting practo for health query. I am a senior physician Dr.Shanmugavadivu answering your question. I understand that you have a cysts in the brain and fits. When did you take up last CT scan brain? The two common reasons for cysts brain are cysticercosis and tuberculosis. If yours is any of the above kind the cysts might disappear.Repaet CT scan if it done a year before. Regarding medicines for fits ,if you do not have brain cyst in repeat scan , your doctor will stop the medicine if there is fit free period of 5years. Hope this helps.
