SMA syndrome is when a part of intestine called as duodenum causes blockage of the SMA artery , which is the main artery to the intestine. Surgery to relieve the obstruction in the artery is the only way to treat the disease. It is generally performed by Gastro Intestinal Surgeons. Cost will depend on the hospital the operation is done.
