SCS w/paddles removal

I'm scheduled to have my SCS removed by my pain specialist/anesthesiologist. I was informed it would be a four hour surgery done at a surgery center and then I would be sent home. I live an hour from the surgery center and it is being done on a Friday. The stimulator was put in by a neurosurgeon and now im confused as to what is safe for me.

Consult the Neurosurgeon who put it. Many a times we don't need to remove it unless there is a good reason.
