I met with an knee injury 9 months back. After that I went to physiotherapist and the knee was fine after that. But 2 months back again I came across with the same injury, so took decision of getting MRI. So the report says,
1. Osteochondral injury stage-II at lateral condyle of femur(cartilage injury associated with subchondral fracture).
2. Partial thickness tear at proximal and mid fibres of anterior cruciate ligament with diffuse edema. So whether I have to go for surgery? Menisci-normal
Hello, accordingly to reports surgery is not indicated. As its only partial tear, rest and Physiotherapy are sufficient followed by strengthening exercises. Medications for Cartilage will also benefit.
