Right hand gets numb

When I ride bike or try to write or wake up from sleep my right hand gets numb. Not sure what are these symptoms referring to?

Hello, Sorry to hear this. This symptom may be secondary to carpal tunnel syndrome where a nerve supplying the thumb may be getting compressed. Please see a neurologist for detailed evaluation. Best wishes.
