Sir i m recently done ultrasound.....and dr. says that there is pus in my liver....What could be the reason of pus in the liver...Could it be cancer..?

hello there. pus in the liver or pyogenic liver abscess is usually caused by a bacteria, fungus or a parasite. if it was a mass it would have pointed towards a malignancy. don't get tensed thinking that it's a cancer. take your doctor's advise and follow the prescribed treatment an you will be fine. sometimes you may require a surgical mode of treatment also. consult a surgeon for further help. regards
