all this happens when there is a increase in the intra-abdominal pressure like while lifting weights,
while straining for stools, if a person has chronic cough etc.

Soak regularly in a warm bath or sitz bath. Soak your anal area in plain warm water 10 to 15 minutes two to three times a day....
