Hi It is clear that the paracetamol dose give was almost double the prescribed the dose. It is ideally safe to go to nearest hospital and get blood paracetamol levels as soon as possible. If high can consider some antidote medicine. Since paracetamol overdose can affect the liver very badly it is always good to be cautious regarding overdose

Hello, I understand your concern Your child received nearly 2x per dose, and ~1.5–2x the safe total daily dose. Still below the toxicity threshold (typically >150 mg/kg in a single dose), but not safe. Excessive crying may be due to: Stomach irritation / pain Early toxicity signs (rare at this dose) Unrelated cause (teething, ear pain, etc.)
Next Steps
Do not give any more paracetamol for at least 12–24 hours Watch for warning signs: • Persistent vomiting • Abdominal pain, swelling • Lethargy or refusal to feed • Yellowish skin/eyes (rare early on) Encourage fluids – small frequent sips If crying persists >1 hour, or signs above develop → consult hospital immediately
Health Tips
Use Paracetamol 250 mg/5 mL syrup Dose: 2.5–3 mL every 6–8 hours (Max 4 times/day)
