Pain in the upper abdomen

My mother has been feeling a pain in the upper abdomen for last few days. The pain starts only when an area around the upper abdomen is pressed or when she makes some unusual movement of the body. I am looking for an advice on this.

Hello.. Well upper abdomen pain may be related to gastritis,gall stones,cholecystitis,etc...we need to examine her for commenting further on it...it's better you take her to a gen surgeon...I think she will have to undergo ultrasound abdomen and pelvis too...thank you...hope she gets well soon...
