My sister fell down down in the bathroom last few weeks ago. During that a harsh sound appears from the knee joint. After dat she feels pain every time in that position. Doctors are saying for surgery. How we should do the treatment? Suggest please.

Hi, it might be that she might have sustained s ligament or meniscal injury. Have x rays and MRI been done. if the meniscus is torn or the ACL is torn she might require surgery to receive her of symptoms. If the meniscus and ligaments are intact then she might not need. it depends on the clinical findings and MRI findings.
