Overjet and Overbite ,4.5 mm can be corrected by Braces/Aligners but the big question here is whether there is an underlying skeletal deformity and what are your expectations from treatment. Furthermore if the treatment is for kids ,growth spurt can be utilized to aim for jaw correction but if it is an adult where growth is complete ,surgery remains the only option if facial profile needs correction and not teeth alone.
Next Steps
Schedule an Orthodontic Evaluation and if needed ,you will be referred to Oral &Maxillofacial Surgeon

An overjet and overbite of 4.5 mm each is generally within the range that can be treated effectively with orthodontic solutions such as braces, clear aligners, or functional appliances — without the need for jaw surgery. Jaw surgery is usually reserved for cases with severe skeletal discrepancies or when orthodontics alone cannot achieve proper function and facial balance.
Next Steps
Visit an orthodontist for a complete clinical examination. Get an OPG/X-ray and possibly a lateral cephalometric analysis to assess jaw position and growth pattern. Discuss both non-surgical and surgical options, including expected treatment time and results.
Health Tips
Starting orthodontic treatment early, if indicated, can prevent the problem from worsening and may help avoid surgical intervention in the future.

Surgery is not necessary if overjet and overbite is mild to moderate until there are more significant skeletal, functional, or aestheticsissues. This issue can be corrected with orthodontic treatment alone .
Next Steps
visit  the orthodontic and oral surgeon for a proper diagnosis.

Hi! At this age, complete correction requires orthognathic jaw surgery with pre- and post-surgical orthodontics. Braces/aligners alone can improve alignment but not jaw position. Advise OPG, lateral cephalogram, and get  orthodontic consultation for treatment planning.
